This past week has seemed to stretch on forever. I've got five days left and I'm about ready to throw in the towel. This week started out with a Dr's appointment; stating I was dilated to a two and 75%. Monday night I had contractions, a fever and chills, felt very achy and pretty much thought I was going to die with discomfort. I was ready to pack up to go to the hospital when Brent told me all I needed was a Tylenol... and lo and behold-I was fine. Tuesday, Wednesday goes by... then Thursday morning I wake up with contractions.
Finally.
They are 3-5 minutes apart for three hours and we were off to triage. Pretty much as soon as I got in the car, they continued, but I could hardly feel them. Perfect. We were at the hospital for two hours waiting for any progression... and nothing.
Good news is we were able to make it to Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt and uncles and we enjoyed a fantastic meal. My loving family heard that I was going to the hospital, scarfed down their Thanksgiving dinner, packed up and made the snowy treacherous drive to Boise only to find-no baby.
Two days later-yup, you guessed it-nothing. We go into the Dr. tomorrow and we're both hoping for some progression. Brent and I are getting way too ancy to meet our little baby. Everything seems to be in place and ready to go. I keep looking in the pack n play we have set up in our room, hoping to see a baby in it, but there it stands, empty. Boo hoo :(
I suppose we can wait a couple more days, but no more than a couple-really I mean it baby eebs-Come Out!! :)

Our Predictions...
I am super stoked to become a mom. I've always felt like it's such an important calling in life and here I am, mere weeks away from becoming official. After both grandparents waiting patiently for our five year plan to commence, we are finally ready to settle down and add offspring to our family.
It's so weird to think that almost a year ago Brent and I were pregnant for the first time; the excitement of a little one on the way... And all we got from it was an emergency trip to the hospital, a short surgery, and a very expensive overnight stay... Whether the timing was wrong, the fetal development wasn't going well, I will be forever grateful that together Brent and I have overcome and conquered that trial. It's still painful to think about, but I know that for whatever reason, we were meant to become parents at this time to this little girl that is growingkicking in my belly. Her wiggles and viscous movements make me smile and I stare in wonderment at my ever protruding stomach. How amazing to be such a miraculous part of creating life?
So...enough gooshy stuff.
Most of you have heard that we do have a name, but are not divulging it until she comes. Some are irritated by this, especially strangers I come in contact with at the store or that come into my work. (Who are they gonna tell?) But my lips are sealed. We decided that this is our name and we didn't want any feedback: positive or negative. Brent also wanted it to be a surprise, something that he gets to announce as the proud papa that he'll be upon the baby's arrival. So in the honor of (secret name) I making a baby book. I found the idea here. Brent and I have already wrote down our predictions-if you will-for her. So here's what we came up with:
Date of birth: Me: 12/1/10 Brent: 11/24/10 Grandpa Eborn: 12/7/10 *Actual due date: 12/3/10
Time of birth: Me 1:00am Brent: 3:00am
Hair color: Me: dark brown Brent: dark brown
Eye color: Me: Blue/Grey/Green (Like Brent's) Brent: brown
What are some of your predictions for baby?
What do you think her name is :)?

August and Charlotte, N.C.
Ok, so it's been a couple months since my last post. I have no excuses other than I'm preggo and I have been spending my computer time researching fervently for strollers, nursery ideas...
So let's start back in August...
I encouraged Brent to enter the Western Idaho Fair BBQ contest. He makes the most outstanding ribs-hands down, so he thought he'd give it a whirl.

After we got done with our DC trip, we flew back to Charlotte where we continued our trek to Sunset Beach. Ah, the beach. It was so nice. Other than getting fried like lobsters we had a great time.

So let's start back in August...
I encouraged Brent to enter the Western Idaho Fair BBQ contest. He makes the most outstanding ribs-hands down, so he thought he'd give it a whirl.
Our first mishap of the day our gas grill flew out of the truck and crashed on the highway on our way out to the fair. It got smashed up pretty good. We were lucky the it didn't hit the car behind us-that would have been messy. Luckily our trusty Traeger made it safe and sound and we were able to borrow a grill there on site.
His homemade BBQ sauce, and yes, they were as delicious as they look. YUM!
He didn't place this year, but he received a new grill tool set and won a $30 giftcard to Texas Roadhouse. I was extremely proud of him and everybody LOVED his food and hung around our booth the entire time. We met some great people, ate some great food. We can't wait until next year!
September:
We had the awesome opportunity to fly back east to visit Brent's sister Taya and her family for our "babymoon". And it just so happened to be my birthday. And Taya surprised me with this:
A Barbie cake. How awesome is that?!
Not only did I have a Barbie cake, I had a preggo Barbie cake. Complete with a baby bump.
Truly the perfect way to celebrate my 25th.
From Charlotte, I drove up with Brent's dad, uncle Robert, and Ben (Taya's husband) to D.C. for the BSU v. VT game.
A Bronco in Hokie country
The stadium
The fans
Lucky Leatherheads...
And what did I do? I managed to get lost in the projects of Baltimore... Needless to say, it was an extremely long night, but I managed to get back to my hotel room just in time for the game. Which was the most important thing.
Now onto DC... Since Brent and I were engaged in DC five years ago... we decided we'd go back to the scene of the event. We went to:
Union Station
Navy Memorial
Saw a bird lady...toppens a bag
The Capitol
Art Smithsonian
Sculpture Gardens
Washington Memorial
Ghostbusters?!
Jefferson Memorial 5 years later
Sad to say that my feet wouldn't carry me all around the Basin. So we settled for a distance shot. I honestly can't believe it's been five years already. My life has been changed forever by saying yes to my handsome man. I'm so grateful for him. It's been a fabulous five years and who knows, we may be back in another five.
Last leg of our DC trip was Bodymore, Murderland. Also know as Baltimore. Don't get me wrong, Inner harbor was really pretty, but once you get out of this area it becomes real sketchy real fast. (I learned that the hard way. Good thing no one posed to mess with a 6 month prego white girl from Idaho). This time around wasn't bad since I had Brent with me.
Good food!
Elle
Jack
Our 6th row beach house: Bob's Watch
Once we got back from Sunset, we went boating. This little girl is fearless. Not only does she jump off the boat all by herself, she swims underneath the boat with her dad.
Jack and I hanging out in the boat.
Grandma and Elle
Me and little stinkface maker :)
We had such a great time in Charlotte with the Siggs. We had so many great times, we can't wait until we get back there again!

a funeral, smores, fishing, and a bump
There's not a lot of things I like about funerals. Two reasons being that this time I had a hard time fitting into something to wear and that I look ghostly white in all the pictures (dang you slow emerging summer sun...) I haven't had to deal a whole lot with death. I can probably count the number of funerals I've been to in my lifetime on one hand. But this funeral was for my grandpa. He was such a great man and it's a shame that very few of the grandkids knew him how he was before the stroke.
I was 8 when he got sick. I have some great memories of him that I will treasure like gold. I remember walking with him to Food Center many a times to get dry ice to ship chocolates. On occasion, he would let me pick out a Creamie to devour back on our way to the candy shop-always being chocolate or banana (those still are my ultimate favorites today...). He always teased us kids or in my mind tortured us until usually we cried or someone got hurt. (But we still loved his horseplay and would go back for more...) And then there was the whistling... always whistling, smiling, and sneaking his hand in the box of mixed nuts when grandma wasn't looking. He will always be remembered in my mind as the grandpa he was when I was 8. I know that he watches over me and will always be in my heart.
Love you grandpa
Now, onto camping....
Brent could see that I needed time to relax over the weekend so we packed up our gear in the Malibu and drove to Owyhee reservoir in Oregon. Brent is in love with the kickboat his dad gave him last year and I finally found out why he loves it so much. I thought he was kidding when he told me it's the best way to relax, and I soon found out I loved it totally want one too. Course, I'm not sure where a second one would fit on the Bu...
We found an awesome spot just down river of the dam and set up camp.... while Samee decided she wanted to go for a swim...
...dumb dog went all the way out on the log and didn't know how to turn around.. so she fell in the icky green goop just moments after arriving. Gross...
The Eborns' new smore tradition-forget the graham crackers! Move over Chips Ahoy Cookies!!
Fishing at Swan Falls just 20 mins from home...
Not the biggest fishes ever, but boy do those smallies put up a fight!!
Latest and greatest bump pic... 17 weeks.
I'm totally freaked out how big I'll be at 37 weeks if I'm already this "maternal". For sure it's been a exhausting ride so far. I'm still waiting to hit my second "golden" trimester that's filled with lots of energy and and vigor...still waiting.............waiting.............Bueller... BUT! we are SUPER stoked for our ultrasound coming up on the 19th of July. We will be finding out what it is and I'm crossing my fingers that my mother's voodoo pencil trick is right, since we are looking only at boy stuff right now. I've felt a few flutters every now and again, but they never show up when I holler for Brent to feel...silly baby. And the heartburn....oh the heartburn....... only 22 more weeks!

Big News!
Ok, ok I give. I realize it's been a real long time since I've blogged-but there is a reason. Brent and I have been keeping a secret. A secret that has been getting bigger every day... and growing inside me...
Yup, we are expecting!! Expecting one baby Eborn December 3. Brent couldn't be more happier, I, however could not feel more tired. That's a good thing right?!
So far we've had two appointments, the last one we heard the heartbeat and everything sounds and looks great so far. The bpm was 168 putting nugget in the range of a girl, but Brent and I (and my mom's voodoo pencil magic) are pretty certain that it will be a boy. But we will find out for sure at our appointment in July. Super exciting!! So all you veteran parents out there, what are the secrets for getting ready for your first? I know we still have 6 months to go, but I figure you can never be too prepared...!
