And I got to thinking-hey, that sounds like a good idea! So I went to the library (waited on a waiting list for 3 weeks!) and picked up a copy....

I'm only in the 4th chapter and I am so riled up about getting control over my finances-it's not even funny! I have the scissors at hand and am ready to chop away on my credit cards!! (It may take some time to detach myself from them, but I am willing to give them up FOREVER!!!!! to be DEBT FREE!)
Now, I consider Brent and myself in a decent financial situation. We are very blessed with good jobs that pay well, and I don't consider ourselves to be in a whole load of debt... But the thought of having no debt and an actual savings account where my savings stay saved, is extremely comforting, especially to prepare ourselves for the unforeseen future.
I'm sort of a news talk junkie as well, and there is so much talk about the government, the economy, stimulus packages, the trillions of dollars to be used for bailouts and what-have-you, it just seems smart to start now before the world becomes more and more of a mess.
I was listening to Dave Ramsey on the radio last night actually and he said three things that were I thought were so important, I wrote them down (while I was driving (not so safe, I know))-so I would not ever forget them. He said the only stimulus package you need is to:
Stimulate your spirit-Read your scriptures
Stimulate your body-Exercise
and Stimulate your mind- Education/Read good books
After hearing that I was like-WOW! Good words to live by! So to all you bloggers out there in blog world-I challenge you to at least pick up the book and thumb through to see if something catches your eye-it can only help in my mind...
And to those who are curious as to what one trillion dollars look like, check out this link...
