We left off at Everlie's 1st birthday, which was a blast. I didn't realize how much fun it is to plan a little one's special day. Her colors (that I chose) were yellow, pink, and orange, and everything turned out so cute!
the cake looks sad, I know, but it sure tasted good.
Poor thing was so tuckered out afterwards.

Photos our friend Audra took. So fun!
But before her big bash, she got to meet Santa for the first time at our ward party.
Didn't even cry. Maybe a little confused, but no crying from her.
Christmas was so great. We unfortunately couldn't make it home to our families in Rexburg because of the short weekend, but managed to survive on our own this year. Every one got some good loot including Everlie. She got (two) cabbage patch dolls-which she loves and a tunnel that you can't get her or Samee out of.
Now onto January.
Half way into the month, the weather finally decided to allow us some white stuff. And the little squirt loved it just as much as I thought she would. Samee too.

Everlie loves the park just as much as Samee. She does NOT like to come home and would stay out all day if she could.
Updates on her:
Her favorites are bananas, yogurt, cottage cheese-ANY kind of cheese, grapes, toast...really the list can go on and on.
Her new venture in eating is dipping. She loves dipping multigrain chips in hummus-quite the mature palette, no?
I hardly need to mention her love of sweets---definitely her mother's child. Don't cross paths between her and her ice cream. Everlie too.
Whether it be keeping late and long hours at work, running amuck trying to keep up with Everlie, or fixing toilets, Brent surely gets the job done. Even so, he has received a new calling as the Sunday School Secratary while keeping his current calling of Sunday School teacher for the youth. How those kids love him! He usually has a class of 20 or so and I've recently found out why he's so popular. I've be dubbed as his sit in and oooh boy! If anyone can relate any life experiences, football, or anything out of the norm to the gospel, Brent can. He is known for his stories-which sometimes make me raise my eyebrows, but always flawlessly ties it back into his lesson--somehow. He says he does so good because he "wings it." He is a great teacher, a great leader, and is more than a wonderful father to 1.5 kids.
The other 1/2 to be completed some time at the beginning of May. Boy, will we have our hands full, but we genuinely couldn't be more overjoyed to have another pair of feet pitter patter against our kitchen floor.
The Dr. says blue is our next color and he is getting bigger by the week. And by bigger, I mean my belly. It's been a wild ride so far to only have a 9 month break from being pregnant with Everlie, but we figure we might as well get another done while the first is still young enough not to know any better. We're getting ready to turn our cozy house into an even cozier home and it's been satisfying and exhausting having such a major nesting itch this round. Poor Samee won't know what hit her with another baby being added to the family. But by now, she should know that once we're in bed, she gets the best doggie snuggles to last her through the next day.
Projects, sorting and purging have been a normal part of my days so far in the new year. It has made my days full of more time to enjoy baking, making more of an effort to eat healthier, and hopefully have some time left over to update my blogs and keep up on my house. When that's all done, I am still an advisor to the Beehives, the effervescent sweet girls that they are. I LOVE teaching them and getting to know them better. Wednesdays are always a challenge toting a wild tiger at my side, but the girls never seem to mind and are more than patient with her as more teeth seek the tops of her gums.
I have continued to work part time at a home improvement showroom. Work is good, but I love being at home and spending my time playing with the little one while I still have the energy. I made her a tent the other night with blankets and chairs and she didn't want to have anything to do with it. It eventually collapsed and she found a comfy place to watch her show...she thought it was the best! It's about time to invest some time into making her her own chair, since the couch is too far away to be from "Blues Clues"-the ultimate afternoon show according to this thirteen month old. We continue to be blessed by the hand of our Heavenly Father and look forward to a new year promised with lots of great things in store. We are so grateful for wonderful friends and family who give us lots of love and support-not to mention the oohs and aahs for the wondrous and infamous Everlie Moselle.
