Ah, Friday night. TGIF...

Remember a few years ago when Friday nights were one of the coolest/funnest nights EVER?  You getting all dolled up to get together with the boyfriendor going out on the town with the girls?  Dragging "main", driving to I.F. to watch a movie, or going grocery shopping with your mom (at least, that's what I did most nights, occasionally).  Weren't those the days...?
And now mine consist of blog surfing, Artic Circle (too lazy to thaw out the chicken...) , and listening to the Spice Girls.  (And no, I'm not ashamed; they were my favorite tape cassette-ever! )  You just wait til I pull out Pride & Prejudice; then you can just imagine on how crazy my night might get...

What do you like to do on Friday nights?

One month down, eleven to go

Ugh.  January is already almost over.  And it feels like I've done nothing.  Ok, so I've done a couple things.  Brent and I put up a new shelf in our laundry... closet.  Can't wait to actually have an entire room to do the thing I like to do least. So it can look like this:

I (finally)cleaned my guest bedroom/craftroom.  I keep telling Brent that when we have kids, they'll have to sleep in the hallway.  I'd hate to give up my craft room...  Either that or we'll have to move.  I need something to keep me partly sane.  Lately, I've thought of a couple million craft ideas, but if only I had more:

BUT I'll get around to them someday, I'm sure.  I've been thinking about setting up an online store for the past 6 months or so for the stuff that I make; I'll have to put up some pics to see if anyone would be interested.  But again, time and money have a strap on me.  PLUS I've got my shows to watch nightly: The Bachelor, Lost (starting next week!! yay!), White Collar and my new fave-the Deep End.

I've started the 30-Day Shred with Jillian Michaels.  It's day 3 and it's good to know that the pain eventually goes away.  On the first day (plus the next three days), my calves could barely function normally, I had to walk like a penguin... the second day my lower abs  hurt so badly I was hunched over all day trying to find a happy-not-hurting-position. ugh. The things we do for... (why am I doing this?! ), swimsuit seasonexcuse to buy new clothes. to walk up stairs without dying.  She is tough BUT it's only 20 minutes and that's about all I can take when it comes to "exercising".

I also began the tedious job of going through all my pictures and putting them on a cd.  I've got one computer down, two laptops to go. I figure if I start now, (hopefully) organizing and/or scrapbook will become easier. Mine does not look like this yet-but it's what got me started in the first place.  (I love organized people to borrow ideas from!!)

But I'm hoping that one day (soon) it will look more like this: Isn't it pretty?! But I will have shelves lined with food storage and such...

What have you done with your January?

I guess it's time for another post....

Ah, a new year is hear!  It's so good to know that every year when January rolls around I have a chance to begin fresh and new, and after these last few month, I'm ready to get a fresh start!

This year I decided NOT to do any resolutions; that way I can't break them.  I'm doing something different this year and will... "Do a little more each day than you think you possibly can."-Lowell Thomas  I totally LOVE it!!  Although this past week that has meant; play a little more ROCKBAND over doing the dishes or folding the laundry.   (Good thing everyday can be a fresh start too!)

There are a million and one things that I can't wait to get around to doing this year; including home improvements, crafts, becoming more "green", and more!  Yes, I do have pictures from Christmas, but I'm sure I'll get to it later, I've already done my "little more" today... :)
